...it's not just another leadership development conference!

Leadership Advance is a time to:

  • Explore “what is leadership, really?” from a Biblical perspective.
  • Realize that everyone has an opportunity to be called into leadership (leaders are not born or made, they are called!)
  • Focus on your calling.
  • Figure out how God has uniquely wired YOU (your strengths, gifts, & talents)
  • Think about leadership, gifts, and the Kingdom of God– and how these fit together.
  • Begin/continue to think about your dreams and passions, especially those that God is depositing or wants to deposit in you.
  • Allow God to speak His hopes for you (through talks, other people, group challenge, assessments, prayer, worship, reflection, play, and teamwork).
  • Connect with others. Gifts are discovered in community with others.
  • Enter a creative, safe space that allows you to discover with others.
  • Consider our world. Your personal calling connects to world around you.
  • Be poured into and unleashed to live out your dreams and calling for the Kingdom!
  • To become fully alive.

What can I expect from the time?
You can expect to:

  • Have your own, unique LA experience, different from the next person
  • Learn more about yourself, others, God, & the world
  • Discover more about God’s vision for His Kingdom & for your place in it
  • Be challenged
  • Meet people who are different from you & to work with them
  • Be prayed for, even before you get there
  • Think, dream, reflect, & explore
  • Interact with coaches, people who care for you, pray for you, and invest in your experience
  • Hear challenging speaking sessions
  • Have God show up and move among us

Your LA experience take-away(s) may be different from the next person, but we trust God has something unique in store for each willing participant. If you come with an open, honest heart, & you are ready to learn, grown & hear from God, we trust your time will be fruitful.

Why & who should attend Leadership Advance?

You should attend LA if any of the following apply:

  • You have a strong sense of your gifts, you’re pretty sure about your calling but you want to continue to grow, develop, be challenged & encouraged.
  • You know a few things about your gifts and your possible call, but you have no idea where or how to begin living these out.
  • You are totally unsure about your gifts and purpose, but you sure hope God has these for you, and you’re willing to risk to find out.
  • You desire to make time for God. No matter what category you fall into, we believe that whenever we carve out time for God we’re never disappointed.
  • You want to start strong. LA is a great way to kick off your semester (or your LIFE!)
  • You want to be living out your giftedness to the fullest.
  • You want to be fully alive.

The better question: Why shouldn’t I attend:

What do you have to lose? What’s stopping you?
(fear) (time) ($) (competing good things) (competing lame things)
*Fear is the number one heart-stopper. Don’t let your fear of an unknown experience stop you. Ask more questions. Pray. But don’t let fear keep you away.
*Time. The reality is: we spend more time watching TV than we do praying. We encourage you to “get up off the couch” and awaken to the LA experience.
*Cost. We never want to cost to keep someone from LA. We have scholarships available to those in need. Please let us know if this is you.
*I have so much going on! Whether it’s a competing good thing or a competing lame things, we encourage to you consider making the time for LA. Many participants have made the sacrifice of time and resources to invest in an experience that has changed the trajectory of their semester…and for some, their lives.
Are you willing to take a risk?

What if I am not a Christian believer?

On one level, there’s excellent material from a professional leadership development standpoint; however, we ask leadership questions and look at leadership development from a Christian perspective. Our perspective is that the God of the Bible is the one who reveals gifts, talents, and purpose. We welcome you if you are comfortable.
