Faith for Thought Video
Faith for Thought is a one-day conference at Calvary where people can come together to explore how our Christian faith connects to our ordinary, everyday, going-to-class, showing-up-at work, sleeping, eating, walking-around lives. The conference will primarily address a student audience (undergrad and graduate), but it is open to any person who wants to who wants to connect real faith with real life.
This year's theme is "Imagination, Invention, and the Image of God." The tentative schedule includes check-in and breakfast starting at 8:30am, followed by corporate musical worship and a main session led by Byron Borger, owner of Hearts & Minds Bookstore, our keynote speaker. After the main session there will be a series of three small-group breakout sessions: two breakout sessions where participants have the option of discussing different topics of integration of faith and academic discipline or other important life issues and one tactile breakout session involving hands-on activities such as music, art, and scientific observation. Lunch will be served between breakout sessions. Finally, we will end our day with a short closing session and final time of corporate musical worship.
