Plans include some combination of the following — medical work, Vacation Bible School, teaching English, having meetings to share the Gospel in the village where the Homes are located, outreach to street boys in Muhanga (formerly Gitarama City), visiting a Rwandan genocide memorial, and some type of sightseeing trip.

Thanks, in part, to the generosity of Calvary, we have purchased land to build a vocational training school and installed bio-gas production equipment with the hope of being able to use it for cooking. We adopted four new boys in the fall of 2011 as well, bringing our total at the Homes to 33, all of whom are presently sponsored.

As of Dec 2011 no additional sponsors are needed for the Adopt-A-Child program at the Umuryango Boy’s Home in Byimana, Rwanda (www.umuryango.org). For those interested we have several care team (staff) members available for sponsorship at $50/month. For more info contact Matt Gross.
