An update about how and when we will regather

XStream is Calvary's ministry for students in grades 6-12. We align ourselves with Calvary’s mission to help students

  • Know Christ
  • Grow in Community
  • Flow in our Calling as disciples of Jesus
  • Go out and make disciples

As we study the Bible, worship and pray together, spend time building relationships, and get out to serve together, we are confident that God is going to move in our community and in us. We also partner with several other congregations in the Centre Region for Metro events (Metro Worship, retreats, special events). If you have any questions, please contact Youth Director Jake Nold at 814.404.0960.

We typically meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30 at Harvest Fields. During the summer we will meet in the lobby and then head up to the pond (weather permitting). Check out our calendar on the sidebar.

Parents, yours is the most important voice your children will hear in terms of their own faith development. We believe that strong families partnering with a strong youth ministry give students the best shot at walking in their faith long after they’ve graduated from high school. So in addition to working with students, we do our best to equip and encourage parents of teenagers. That looks like emails with questions to ask your kids weekly, parent dinners so you can get to know us and find ways to partner with each other, training and prayer.

Team XStream is our leadership team for student ministry. We’re an eclectic mix of college students, young adults, empty nesters and everything in between. The more capable leaders we have, the more students God will entrust to us. We are passionate about showing God’s love and discipling kids. If you’re interested in learning more about working with 6th-12th grade students, please contact Jake Nold, Kristen Lawton, or Ali Bruce. We have a Life Group for leaders and meet monthly for prayer and training.

Want to volunteer with Xstream?

Calvary is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for those who participate in our programs. We diligently evaluate our security procedures and are working toward an even safer and more secure environment for children and youth who participate in our Calvary programs.

Therefore, in order to minimize any vulnerability to children and youth, as well as minimize unwarranted accusations of improper behavior that our Calvary volunteers and employees may experience in our ministries, we have added some requirements for all volunteers and paid employees.

To fulfill these commitments as fully as possible Calvary has adopted the following procedures to be used, without exception, when selecting ministry volunteers and employees:

Step One
1. Volunteers must submit an up to date PA Child Abuse History Clearance and PA Criminal Background Clearance (Select 'New Record Check') Volunteers and employees will be re-screened every thirty months to ensure a safe and secure environment for children and youth participating in Calvary ministry programs.

 2. All volunteer candidates must regularly attend a Calvary gathering for three months or more before they will be considered for any ministry position involving contact with children or youth.

Step Two
Once a clear background check has been returned you will be notified. The next step in the process is for you to complete an online youth ministry leader application.

Step Three
All volunteer candidates will meet with Pastor Stacy or someone from the Calvary Youth Ministry staff for a personal interview and review of the application. Following this approval, volunteers will join the youth ministry team and begin working with students.

If you have any questions please contact Calvary’s Youth Pastor, Jake Nold.
